Stainless Steel Equipment in the Lodge
Over the years, most every means of getting fluids and foods to the scouts has been tried. You name it, we tried it. Table trotters, self service, serving lines and everything in-between. Water, juice, hot chocolate, coffee pots, milk dispensers, Gott containers and the list goes on and on. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages but one end result is clear. It usually winds up being a big mess on the floor.
One thing we never had however, is a table that is designed to catch all the drippings and allow for either pitchers or individual cups to get filled up and catch all the drips. Some years ago, we drew up a design and could never find a local mfg to make up the stainless tables. As shown on the right hand side in the picture above (Camp Winton), this is what we want to have made.
This is high on the priority for funding this year, but until we have some working funds and find a good fabricator, we will have to hold off.
Cost for the tables and custom fabrication could range from $500 to $1500 each.
